Parents and Students:

I hope you were able to get out in the sunshine today. I think we all needed the rest and relaxation (and the Vitamin D). We are in for some more rain this week-- a soggy start to spring break.

Just a few things:

1. The office is closed through April 9th. We will return April 10th. I hope you have a great spring break and can have time with friends and family.

2. Seniors: thank you so much for stopping in or messaging us about your college acceptances. It has been wonderful to share in your joy. We are so proud of you and wish you all the best in your years ahead. We will see you at graduation!

3. Juniors (and sophomores): It is time to get serious about researching your colleges. Start a spreadsheet and compare all the features so you can make your list of which colleges to visit. Be picky. You want to find the right fit. Take virtual tours and ask yourself, "Does this school seem right for me?" Think about the community, academics, size and settling, housing, etc.

4. We are starting to get some questions about our summer tutoring. We are still working things out and will update you mid-April.

After we get back from break, it will be full steam ahead to the end of the year. It is an intense 10 weeks, but you can do it. We have faith in you.

Parents and Students:

Well, it isn't raining cats and dogs, but the strange weather continues. Hail? Snow? Sunshine? Sometimes we are hit with everything all at once. No matter what comes, we will get through it.

Just a few things:

1. Spring break is at the end of the month. The whole office will be closed March 27th-April 7th. It looks like Casa will be in session on April 6-7. We will see if students need a session and go from there.

2. If you have a credit from a cancelled or rescheduled session, please give us some time to post the credits to the current invoice. We have to allocate them manually, so it takes time. You can always see your current balance in the top right hand corner of your account screen.

3. Learning can take many paths, and spring is the perfect time to visit a museum or national park. The Sonoma County Library has added national park passes, and they continue to offer their Discovery and Go museum passes. You can check out a physical book or an ebook, or look at the online resources to research and plan your visit. Oh, the places you'll go.

4. SRJC's summer 2023 schedule will be posted March 1st. If you are thinking about taking a summer class, start filing the paperwork with your counselor. Email me if you have any questions. Classes fill up quickly, so be prepared with alternates.

As always, thanks for being you. We love working with you and seeing you grow.

Some families have informed us about problems receiving their February '23 invoices. Thank you for your patience as we sort it out.

In the meantime, please remember that students and their families can access all their invoices on Teachworks.

Thank you!
