Fall 2023 Signups

Parents and Students:

I hope your summer is going well and you are recharging for the next school year.

Thank you for your patience as we have been putting the schedule together and getting the office ready. I know it is a lot of changes happening quickly. We are on track for things to be in place for the start of school.

The summer schedule is in flux right now and we are going to go up to the wire. We will officially begin the fall schedule on August 14th.

We will start fall signups at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 8th.

Please email cjlcinfo@gmail.com with:

1. Your top three preferences for day, time, and tutor

2. Whether you want shared or private

3. How many sessions a week

If there is one aspect that is more important than the other, let us know. For example, if you need to be on a Wednesday, but you are open to working with any tutor, note that in your email.

I will be processing all the signups from Indiana, so no phone calls, please.

I will email you a confirmation of your session as I process the emails. If you do not receive an email from me, it means that I did not receive your email.

The tutors are:

Narjes

Mon 3:15, 4:15, 5:15, 6:30, & 7:30

Tues 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00

M, T, W, and Th mornings online

Gen:

M, T, W, and Th 3:00, 4:00, & 5:00

Beth:

M, T, W, and Th mornings & 1:00

Dave:

evenings TBD

Phil:

M, T, W and Th 3:15, 4:15, 5:15, 6:15, & 7:15 + a 2:15 on Wed.

August 2023 Announcements

Parents and Students:

I hope you are doing well and having a great summer. I have a big change coming, and I wanted to give you some time to process it before school starts.

For personal reasons, I have had to make some difficult decisions. I need to step back from CJLC and move to Indiana to be closer to family.

Phil will be taking over the day-to-day management of CJLC, and I will run the business side of things to ease the transition for all our families and staff. I will not be tutoring very much. I will transition my students to the tutors who are the best match for each.

We will be closing the upstairs office and bringing Narjes and Carol downstairs. Phil will take over my office, and Gen will be in the same office. Dave will be available only in the evenings. Tena will be taking a break for a little while and may be back in the spring.

I will be finalizing the fall schedule and will send out the sign up information by the end of the week. I will keep you updated as we move forward.

We want to continue to support you the best we can. There may be delays in call and email response time as we make this transition; however, we want to have things in place by the start of school on August 16th. We don't have everything figured out yet, and I am sure we are going to run into problems we haven't even thought of, but the bottom line is that I want to make this work for everyone.

It has been my joy and my privilege to work with you the last 15 years. To borrow the words of Thornton Wilder, “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” I treasure each of you and all the memories we have shared. I will carry you in my heart, always.

July 2023 Announcements

Parents and Students,

I hope you are having a wonderful vacation. You deserve lots of fun and relaxation.

We will be back in the office on Monday 7/10. We will reply to emails and calls this week.

1. If you will miss one of your summer sessions for a vacation, please email us the dates so we can update the calendar. Thanks for being patient. The end of school is so chaotic, I didn’t want to add one more thing into the mix.

2. If you made a payment over the break, don’t worry. Tomorrow I will be downloading the credit card payments, ACH payments, as well as posting checks. I have been traveling and all our transactions need to be PCI compliant. If you don’t see your payment by the end of the week, let me know and we can track it down.

3. I will be sending out the fall sign up info soon. We are going to hit the ground running!
